Under Armour has finally released the UA HOVR Havoc Low and UA HOVR Havoc Mid. The much-hyped sneaker was specially designed for basketball players and features the brand’s acclaimed HOVR foam cushioning technology that originally made its debut in February with the HOVR Sonic and HOVR Phantom running shoes.
“When we launched the HOVR Phantom it was really well received,” said Under Armour senior designer Leon Gu. “We designed this Compression Energy Web that covers the HOVR foam to give you the maximum energy return. We wanted to introduce that technology into the basketball shoe and that’s where the HOVR Havoc was created.”
UA “HOVR Foam” is contained in a compression mesh Energy Web in the midsole of the HOVR Havoc, making each step more explosive from the opening tip off to the closing seconds of every game. Under Armour designed a hyper-performance system that not only supports the running, jumping and dynamic movements unique to basketball but also provides the comfort players need to focus on the game.
In fact, the sneakers have a broken-in feeling from the moment you slip them on.
The HOVR Havoc feature a bounce and feel unique to the industry with a lightweight and breathable upper; flex grooves on the outer edge of the forefoot for flexibility and a seamless and stretchable tongue. Standard colourways including: blue and red, all navy, all red, and all black. But, watch for new colourways throughout the season.
