69th Canadian International Air Show is breathtaking

With the nights growing colder and fall approaching, it’s time once again to look to the up to the skies as they’re split apart by the Canadian International Air Show at the CNE.

There really are no words to describe the Air Show, which is now in its 69th year.

I remember enjoying the Air Show as a kid — even though I’m not nearly 69 years old — and hearing the P51 Mustang’s a special sound as if my grandfather Bryson Donnan, who flew in the Second World War, was waving down to me.

The Snowbirds put on a breathtaking show again Saturday that left everyone on hand in awe. Precision flying at it’s finest.

The Air Show runs throughout the Labour Day weekend, from 12 to 3 p.m., and you don’t want to miss it.

There’s no better sound, or look, than an F18 demonstration jet decked out in its NORAD paint job, or watching Mike Wiskus in his bright orange Pitts wailing on the sky.

The Air Show may signify shorter days and the end of summer, but why not go out with a bang?
